Charming holiday home with a peaceful garden in the heart of idyllic Nordby

You step into a bright and cosy holiday home with a relaxed, homely at­mosp­he­re. Comfort and fun­ctio­na­li­ty are well thought out, with two bedrooms featuring double beds, a neat bathroom with a shower, and a well-equipped kitchen including a dis­hwas­her.
In the living room, daylight streams in through the large windows, creating plenty of space for cosy moments and re­laxa­tion.
When you gather around the TV, you can enjoy a TV package with many channels, including DR channels, TV2 + Play, Charlie, Disney fa­vouri­tes, and several German channels.

There is a well-stocked “library” offering plenty of en­tertain­ment for all ages. A special feature is a TV programme about Samsø’s de­ve­l­op­ment into the world’s first 100% renewable energy island (available in both Danish and English).
The programme was produced by the holiday home owner, and extra copies of the DVD are available in the house (free of charge for guests).
Music lovers will also ap­pre­ci­a­te the large selection of classical and popular music.

Enjoy life outdoors
Outside, you will find a lovely, enclosed garden sur­ro­un­ded by tall hedges and lush greenery – a peaceful retreat where you can easily find sun or shade and enjoy summer evenings with barbecues and delicious meals. In the garden, there is also a large, shallow pond with water lilies, green frogs, and dra­gon­flies.
The garden is private and easy to manage, with plenty of space for play, such as ball games, boules, badminton, and more.
By the parking area, you will also find a charging point for your electric car.

Get close to local ex­pe­ri­en­ces
The house is in Nordby – a charming and well-preserved village in northern Samsø. Nordby is known for its iconic bell tower and tranquil village pond, but it also offers great op­portu­ni­ties to enjoy lunch, an ice cream, or shop for local goods in cosy re­stau­rants. Wander through Nordby's de­light­ful streets and little shops. Here you’ll also find the Samsø Labyrinth – a fun challenge for the whole family. Hopefully, you’ll find the centre – and your way out again!

From Nordby, you’re just a short distance from the scenic Nordby Hills, where beautiful walking routes await. Don’t miss Bal­leb­jerg, the highest point on Samsø, or Issehoved, the island’s northern tip where the Kattegat sea meets.

Only 1.5 km from the house lies a lovely sandy beach on the east coast – perfect for a swim or a stroll along the shore.

Within just 5 minutes’ drive, you can reach Mårup for grocery shopping or bike rentals. Be sure to visit the peaceful Mårup Harbour and enjoy the beautiful views.

Once you have booked the house, it is also possible to rent a large dinghy with an outboard motor for sailing or fishing in Stavns Fjord or along the nearby coast. In addition, trips can be arranged on a large (12 m), well-equipped and com­fortab­le sailing boat with a very ex­pe­ri­en­ced skipper. De­par­tu­res are from Mårup Harbour, with the option of one-day or multi-day trips in this beautiful sailing area (to be arranged with the owner by phone).

Drive further south on the island to discover more charming villages filled with local shops, cafés, and galleries. Ballen is a popular summer harbour town with a wide variety of re­stau­rants and shops. Tra­neb­jerg, the largest town on Samsø, offers even more – including su­per­mar­kets, re­stau­rants, the tourist office, and Samsø Museum.
