Do you dream of a holiday where the view almost steals all the attention? In this charming holiday home, you can enjoy a truly special location with a fantastic panoramic view of the water and the beach. Here, you can spend your holiday surrounded by heather and rose hips on the grounds, while your eyes drift across the sea, the ships on the horizon and the wind turbines in the distance. This is a place where the coastal atmosphere comes wonderfully close, and where the view becomes a natural part of the holiday from morning to evening.

Welcome inside

The holiday home is arranged over two floors and has a bright and welcoming atmosphere. On the ground floor, you will find a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area, where the kitchen, dining area and sitting room are gathered in one room. From here, there is a view across the grounds and onwards towards the beach, so the holiday feeling naturally follows you inside, whether you are standing in the kitchen, sitting at the dining table or relaxing in the sitting room.

The staircase to the first floor is located in the sitting room and is relatively steep, so this is worth noting. Upstairs, you will find two good bedrooms. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and here you can wake up to a truly beautiful view of the water. The other bedroom has two single beds and works well for both children and adults.

The property also includes an annexe, which provides extra sleeping accommodation and good flexibility when several of you are holidaying together. The annexe is divided into two rooms. The large room is furnished with a double bed and functions as a walk-through room to the smaller room, where there are two single beds.

Enjoy life outside

Outside, it is the fantastic view of the beach and the water that makes the holiday home something quite special. From the terrace and the grounds, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the sea, watch the ships on the water and let your eyes drift towards the wind turbines in the distance. It is a view that changes with the weather, the light and the season – and gives the holiday that very special feeling of being close to the coast.

Heather and rose hips grow on the grounds, emphasising the natural location by the water and creating a beautiful, relaxed setting for outdoor living. Here, you can sit undisturbed in many places on the grounds, find your favourite spot in the sun, enjoy a peaceful moment with a view of the beach or gather the family for lovely meals under the open sky.

On the other side of the house, there is a lovely courtyard where you can light the barbecue and enjoy grilled fish from the local fishmonger and local vegetables. The courtyard offers a wonderful supplement to the outdoor areas with views of the water – perfect for your morning coffee and a good book, while keeping an eye on the activity on the large lawn.

There is also a shed where you can lock away bicycles, should you wish to bring bikes and explore the area at your own pace.

Get up close to the local attractions

The area around Bønnerup Strand offers everything that belongs to a wonderful holiday by the coast – beautiful nature, peaceful surroundings, fresh sea air and easy access to a lovely bathing beach. Here, you can enjoy your holiday days at your very own pace with walks along the coast, fishing, beach trips and pleasant moments by the harbour.

In Bønnerup, you will find both Brugsen and the local fishmonger, both of which are open all year round. This makes it easy to enjoy a holiday here no matter the season – whether you need freshly baked bread for breakfast, groceries for dinner or fresh fish to take home for a lovely meal in the holiday home. Around the area, you will also find small shops to explore, with the local atmosphere adding an extra holiday bonus.

The harbour is a natural gathering point in the area, with life and atmosphere at both the marina and the fishing harbour. Sit down and enjoy lunch with a view of the boats, or buy freshly caught fish to take home from the fishmonger, who is ready to welcome you all year round. In summer, the harbour also hosts the annual summer festival, where holiday joy and local life go hand in hand.

The beach at Bønnerup is one of the great gems of the area. It has a Blue Flag and is especially child-friendly, with shallow water and a sandy seabed, so the youngest guests can safely splash at the water’s edge while the adults enjoy the sun, the view and the sound of the waves. There is plenty of space here for swimming, sandcastles and long days with bare feet in the sand.

Should you wish to go on an outing, there are plenty of experiences within a short distance. In around half an hour, you can drive to Djurs Sommerland, the largest amusement park in the Nordic region, where the whole family can look forward to rides, a water park and a day full of laughter. You can also visit the old market town of Grenaa, where you will find, among other things, Kattegatcentret with sharks, penguins and a fascinating insight into life below the surface of the sea.

The nature on Djursland also offers many small adventures. Pack a picnic basket and head to Sangstrup Klint, where the beautiful coastal scenery makes it ideal to pause with a view of the water. Here, you can go fossil hunting and may be lucky enough to find traces of the past in the form of fossils and sea urchins. You can also explore Meilgaard Castle and Sostrup Castle, both adding a touch of cultural history and fairytale atmosphere to your holiday.

Across Djursland, experiences await both children and adults. Within half an hour to an hour’s drive, you will find animal parks, attractions, shopping, good places to eat, outdoor activities and plenty of beautiful nature. And no matter where your trip takes you, the sea is never far away – a calm reminder that you are spending your holiday in a place where nature, the coast and memorable experiences go hand in hand.
